Event Details:

Council in Committee of the Whole is a meeting of all Members of Council of the Town of Cobourg held for the purposes of discussion and debate of the details of reports and other main motions regarding matters to be addressed, considered and ratified by the Members in Regular Council. 

This is a less formal meeting of the Council and provides a forum for the public to bring concerns before Council to be heard as a delegation. In addition, these meetings deal with reports and recommendations from Town staff which generally require a presentation or a more lengthy discussion process.

COVID-19 Restrictions
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic all meetings will be held at 6 p.m. virtually through Zoom Teleconferencing until further notice. If in-person meetings are scheduled they will be held in the Concert Hall, Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West as approved by Council.

For those wishing to make a Delegation before Council:

• Submit a Request for Delegation Form found on the eSCRIBE page, including preferred date.
  • Ensure you have a computer with internet access to enable you to participate electronically as an ‘Attendee’ to make your deputation to Council during their meeting.
  • If you do not want to participate by video, or do not have the necessary technology, you may use a telephone and call in to participate and make your deputation.
  • Once your deputation request has been received and approved for a Council meeting date, you will receive further detailed instructions on how to participate in the Council meeting.

• Submit an email containing your name, address and your comments on the matter to clerk@cobourg.ca prior to 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting.Please contact the Legislative Services Department to inquire about in-person attendance. Please note masks are mandatory for those in attendance.
